Control your Media Player from your Browser with FoxyTunes

Wouldn't you like to Control your media player and songs right from your Browser without minimizing it?
If yes then FoxyTunes can help you with that. Its an addon for your browser that controls your (already installed) media player while your surf!


Currently only Firefox and IE are supported by FoxyTunes.
After installation in IE it fits itself below the bookmarks toolbar while in Firefox it settles down in right corner of the status bar below.

This little add-on is so smart that it automatically fetches Artist's and Album's names of the track currently being played as soon as you place the cursor over the music icon button.

HOW TO USE?

* FoxyTunes has same buttons as you see in any media player. Play, Pause, Stop, Next and Previous Tracks with Volume control.

* The Media Player button will pop open your currently running media player in background.

* You can open any media file by clicking "Play File" button next to volume controller.

* Click the button with music icon, and you'll see the main menu.

* Go to configuration> Keyboard Shortcuts and you can set keyboard shortcuts for play/pause volume etc...

* You may hide the whole FoxyTunes bar (except the button with Music icon) or may hide some of the button that you want.

* Moreover you can search for or view the details of the running track (by clicking the button with up arrow) from the "FoxyTunes Planet" which is owned by Yahoo! Music.

This Search retrieves Song's details with artist's name from:

- Yahoo! Web Search
- Lyrics from Yahoo! Music
- Video from both Youtube & Yahoo! Music.

CUSTOMIZATIONS

What's New?

Well definitely lots of bugs have been fixed and may more new features are added.

My Experience with the Beta:

I've been using BitDefender Total Security 2010 Beta 2 for past 15 days on my XP SP2 and having no issues with it.
I wish it could show me some problems, so I can report them...but No!
Its just running absolutely fine.

- No bugs, No system Slow downs whatsoever.
- No issues with updates.
- In fact Scan time is greatly reduced and Its kinda more responsive.

But is you are Windows 7 user, you might face some issues, and in fact most of the bugs submitted at Beta Center are from Windows 7 users.

Add 125x125 Ads Widget To Blogger Blog

Beside Google Adsense, showing ads of others sites on your blog helps you earn more.


For these ads, size of 125x125 have become very popular. Using this ad size you can show more ads, using less space.



If you want to show these 125x125 little square-shaped ads on your blogspot blog, then all you have to do is to add a simple HTML/Javascript widget, that can show 3 ads in a row.


Most of the blogger templates now comes with a pre-installed "125x125 ads section widget", but if your blog doesn't have this, then follow these few easy steps to add this widget.


1. Go to 'Layout" of your blog.

2. Choose the section where you want to show this ads widget and then click "Add a Gadget" link.

3. From the pop up window that opens, choose second widget i-e "HTML/JavaScript".
Another window will pop-up.

4. In that window I'd recommend to leave the Title blank , but if you still want to give something to it, you can.

5. In the content Area, Copy/Paste this code below:

To change these ads;
- Replace the Links (in red) with your links that redirect to the advertiser's page.
- Replace the Links (in green) with the (125x125) ads picture that advertisers gave you.


To change link behind "Advertise here", replace the link in purple, with your link, that may lead to your email address/contact form or any link of your choice.

In my case its linking to my contact form.

Above code will show 3 ads in a row, and offcourse you can add more, but remember next 3 ads will be shown in next row.



If you want to show another ad, just Edit the widget and add this line:

6. Click Save to close HTML/Javascript window and then Click Preview from the layout window.

Good thing about this simple widget is that, it can be accomodated even in vertical coulmn. It automatically adjusts itself, and shows the ads in vertical manner.
